A while back I had the chance to spend an afternoon at Aghosh Al-Khidmat Rawalpindi, an orphanage run under Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan. I wanted to see for myself how it’s run and document it honestly rather than just take someone else’s word for it.
What Aghosh actually is
Aghosh is a residential care project for orphaned children from across Pakistan. Kids from different backgrounds and provinces end up here, and the foundation takes care of the basics that matter most — housing, food, healthcare, and schooling — so growing up without parents doesn’t mean growing up without a future.
A quick look inside
I put together a short video tour from the visit rather than just writing about it, since seeing the place says more than a description can. It’s less a formal report and more a walkthrough of what a normal day there looks like.
Why I wanted to share this
Projects like Aghosh rely a lot on public awareness and support to keep running, and even something as small as knowing they exist can lead people to help — whether that’s volunteering, donating, or just spreading the word.
